See How Easily You Can Save Money & Get Free Amazon Gift Cards Just for Sharing Deals

Save Money & Get Free Amazon Gift Cards

Do you spend hours scouring the internet, local ads, social media and anywhere else you can think of for great deals to save money? What if you could cut down on the time you spend hunting for deals and even earn FREE Amazon gift cards for sharing deals? The good news is I discovered a website that lets you do just that, and today I’m going to introduce you to what I think is the greatest real-time deal sharing site I’ve stumbled upon thus far!

Since I found Dealspotr, the time I spend searching for the best online deals has decreased quite a bit. In fact, Dealspotr is pretty much the only place I go now when I’m looking for great deals that help me save money, and the reason for that is because I’m able to personalize “my feed” to fit my interests as well as earn FREE Amazon gift cards (more on that later in this article).

The two things I hated the most about searching for deals before was the expired promo codes and the wasted time scrolling through deals I had no interest in. Now, I no longer have that problem.

The Quickest Way to Finding the Best Deals to Help You Save Money

The first thing you need to do is sign up for a free Dealspotr membership. Once there, click “join” located at the top right of the site. Note, if you’re a blogger, you should definitely join as an influencer for more perks, which requires you to go to a different link. I’ll explain the influencer benefits and instructions for that special membership in a few more minutes. But for now let’s focus on how frugal shoppers can sign up.

Save Money at Dealspotr

For all you frugal shoppers, you can join using your Facebook, or if you’re like me and prefer not to give the Facebook permissions, you can join by filling out the form located under the “connect with Facebook” button. When registering, if you click the link in the paragraph above this one to join, or use the promo code LIVINGFRUGALLY, you’ll get 5,000 points instead of the usual 2,000, but to get the 5,000 points you MUST complete your new user checklist and post your first valid deal. You’ll learn more about the point system and what it’s for farther down in this article.

If you’re a blogger and want to join as an influencer for the additional perks, you’ll need to click this link to join, and then enter the following influencer access code: WjauENON (the code is case sensitive, so you must enter it exactly as shown, with uppercase and lowercase letters). As an influencer, you’ll get 15,000 points after you reach “silver status.”

Your next step is to confirm your email address. The email will come from If you don’t see that email in your inbox, check your spam folder. As soon as you find and open the email, there will be a link inside for you to click on to activate your Dealspotr account.

After you activate your account by clicking on the link in the email from Dealspotr, you’ll start personalizing your Dealspotr feed. First, you’ll select three interests by clicking on the images. Deals related to the interests you select will appear in your feed everytime you login to your Dealspotr account and click “my feed.” Later, you can add more interests and remove interests you previously added by subscribing and unsubscribing.

Save Money at Dealspotr - Personalize Your Feed

Your final step to setting up your Dealspotr account requires you to select three brands. The suggested brands will depend on the interests you chose in the previous step. However, just like with the interests, at any time you’ll be able to subscribe to new brands and unsubscribe from brands you’re no longer interested in seeing deals for.

Using Dealspotr to Save Money

Congratulations, you’re finally a member of Dealspotr!

Before you can start looking for those great deals that will help you save money, just a little more patience is required while you wait for Dealspotr to generate your feed with the interests and brands you just chose. It may take a few minutes, but once the generating is complete, your feed will be loaded with lots of deals based on your interests (see the image below of my feed as an example).

Save Money at Dealspotr - Personalized Feed

If you joined as an influencer and want to reach “silver status” to receive your 15,000 points (enough to get your first free Amazon gift card), click on the picture icon at the top right. Then click “influencer tools” from the drop down menu.

Get Free Amazon Gift Cards Sharing Deals

Soon after you’ve completed those steps, you should see the statues on the left side of the page. Find “silver status” and follow the instructions listed in that box “to unlock” the “silver status.”

Finally, you’re ready for the exciting part of saving money! To view deals of interest to you, scroll through your personalized feed. To view more deals, click the “discover deals” link to the left of the “my feeds” link. You can also search for deals using the search bar or using other methods shown in the image below.

Search Deals to Save Money at Dealspotr

Looking for deals at Dealspotr really is simple and less time consuming than visiting several different deals sites and searching the web. There are several thousand online and in-store deals from over 50,000 merchants!

Scoring FREE Amazon Gift Cards With Dealspotr

You may have already noticed by now that Dealspotr is run by a community who also loves to save money! Additionally, they enjoy sharing deals they’ve discovered outside of Dealspotr, and as a reward for sharing and being active on Dealspotr, they earn points that can be exchanged for $10 Amazon Gift cards.

If you want to start earning points for Amazon gift cards, you may do so by adding deals, editing deals that’s already been added, completing the daily checklist and referring others who love saving money. Points can add up rather quickly as you become more active. To learn how to become more active, read the information on Dealspotr’s website. There is lots of useful information that will help you become more familiar with how things work. Trust me, it’s well worth your time. 😀

Bloggers who join as an influencer get additional perks such as cash in their PayPal account rather than Amazon gift cards (must reach “gold status”), access to paid writing opportunities on the Dealspotr blog (contact Dealspotr for details), a link to their blog from the influencer directory, opportunities to co-host monthly giveaways to help boost their blog’s traffic, double points for every new deal they post, and double commissions as well as an exclusive up-front fee on their referrals.

I’ve been a Dealspotr influencer since August 2016, and four months after joining, I earned my first free Amazon gift card! I could’ve earned my gift card sooner, but I spent a little extra time getting familiar with the site and looking for deals to help me save money. Since I studied the site and am more active, my points add up faster. In my opinion, Dealspotr is a whole lot better and more exciting than the GPT sites! I still do surveys on those sites to earn even more free gift cards and cash in my PayPal account, but I don’t enjoy them near as much as I do Dealspotr. Go ahead and explore Dealspotr more, and I’m pretty sure you’ll love it just as much as I do, if not more.

How I Get Over $450 of Free Money Every Month

Free Money From GPT SitesMoney may not grow on trees, but I came up with a simple strategy that allows me to get over $450 of FREE money every month. What’s even more exciting is I earn even more by simply spending the free money!

The good news for you is I’m going to share my strategy with you. Then all you have to do is implement the same plan so you, too, can enjoy a little extra spending money month after month. Sound like something you’d like to do? Keep reading for the 411.

Complete Tasks and Offers on Get Paid To (GPT) Sites

Yes, I realize you may already be familiar with sites that pay you to watch videos, sign up for special offers, view ads and more, but maybe you’ve not earned enough to remain active, or you got tired of wasting your time on just one GPT site for such a small reward. Well, that’s why I’ve decided to share my method with you. With my method, I only spend a few hours on each GPT site daily. This approach really does pay me over $450 each month (not such a small reward), which I’m more than happy with.

Set a Daily Goal to Avoid GPT Site Burnout

The way I approach GPT sites is by setting a daily goal of 50 for each site that I’m a member of. This goal does help keep me from getting burnout, but let’s face it, after doing it everyday for a while, you will still get tired, but for me, having set this goal for myself, I spend less time on the GPT sites, which means I don’t get burnt out as quickly. When I do get tired, I just think of the reward at the end of each month, and that helps keep me going. I may groan while doing it, but I keep on keeping on. 😉

If you’d like to try my approach, click the image below to see what I think are the best earning activities on each site. The suggested activities don’t require me to spend money or give out credit card information, and they’re also activities that allow me to meet my daily goal quicker, which means I spend as little time as possible on each site.

Daily Goal and Best Earning Activities on GPT Sites

After you’ve studied my way of approaching these sites, sign up for the GPT sites I recommend (below) and put my plan it into action each day. Then you can have fun spending the free money you’ll earn every month.

Join What I Think are the Best GPT Sites

Following are seven GPT sites that I’m a member of. I’ll tell you a little about each of the GPT sites and let you know how much you’ll earn each month if you use the same daily goal as I do. To join the recommended GPT sites, click on the name of the site, and the link will open in a new window/tab, so you don’t lose your place here.

Memolink: Memolink rewards you with points, which you can later redeem for gift cards and magazine subscriptions.

Total Monthly Earnings for January, March, May, July, August, October & December: $10

Total Monthly Earnings for April, June, September & November: $10

Total Monthly Earnings for February: $10

My Points: As you seen in the image above, My Points doesn’t have near as many activities to earn points. In addition to not offering many free activities, you also have to set your My Points daily goal to at least 60 instead of 50 in order to be able to redeem at the end of every month. To be honest, because of the aforementioned cons in relation to My Points, as well as the fact that their surveys appear to be a scam (read why in the image), it’s my least favorite GPT site. If you prefer not to join My Points, you could still get over $450 of free money every month with the other six other recommended GPT sites.

Total Monthly Earnings for January, March, May, July, August, October & December: $10

Total Monthly Earnings for April, June, September & November: $10

Total Monthly Earnings for February: $10

Prize Rebel: After you join Prize Rebel, if you plan to try and meet your daily goal by doing surveys, go to the surveys section and complete the 85-point “your surveys.” By completing “your surveys,” you’ll increase your chances of qualifying for surveys that Prize Rebel will recommend for you, and you’ll also meet the 50 daily goal for your first day.

Total Monthly Earnings for January, March, May, July, August, October & December: $15

Total Monthly Earnings for April, June, September & November: $15

Total Monthly Earnings for February: $14

Rewarding Ways: This GPT site offers money as well as points. If you choose an activity that offers points, you can do what I do and convert any points you earn to cash. Rewarding Ways members get $.20 after signing up.

Total Monthly Earnings for January, March, May, July, August, October & December: $155

Total Monthly Earnings for April, June, September & November: $150

Total Monthly Earnings for February: $140

Send Earnings: When you sign up using the link from this web page, you’ll get a $5.00 sign-up bonus, which means you’ll meet your daily goal for today. :)

Total Monthly Earnings for January, March, May, July, August, October & December: $155

Total Monthly Earnings for April, June, September & November: $150

Total Monthly Earnings for February: $140

SuperPay: SuperPay is pretty much a clone of Rewarding Ways, so it also offers money as well as points. With these two sites, I usually go for the goal of $5.00 a day, and if I do any activities that reward in points, I convert my points to cash. As with Rewarding Ways, you’ll get a $.20 sign-up bonus.

Total Monthly Earnings for January, March, May, July, August, October & December: $155

Total Monthly Earnings for April, June, September & November: $150

Total Monthly Earnings for February: $140

Swagbucks: Out of all the GPT sites that I’m a member of, Swagbucks is number one on my favorites list! There are many earning opportunities, and if you watch their blog, you’ll see they have team challenges and other fun ways to earn extra SB. All of that really makes Swagbucks a fun GPT site to explore.

At Swagbucks, you earn points, but they’re referred to as swagbucks (SB). If you join today through my link above, you’ll earn a sign-up bonus of 300 SB, which will be credited to your account by October 7, 2016. This large sign-up bonus is only available for a limited time, so act today!

Total Monthly Earnings for January, March, May, July, August, October & December: $15

Total Monthly Earnings for April, June, September & November: $15

Total Monthly Earnings for February: $13

Beware of These Pitfalls on GPT Sites

I learned pretty quickly most of the downloads aren’t safe for your computer or smartphone. They usually contain viruses, adware and/or spyware. Some may be safe, but I no longer take chances with any of them. The points or cash they offer just isn’t worth the risk to me when there are many other activities to choose from.

Some of the free offers on GPT sites only reward once, so try to remember the offers you sign up for, because you’ll only receive points or cash for them one time. It will usually state if it’s a one-time offer. If you’re memory is not the greatest, like mine, keep a list of the name of the offers you signed up for on your computer or in a nearby notebook, so you don’t waste your time on those again. Putting that list in alphabetical order helps you refer to it quicker. :) Also keep in mind, may GPT sites include the same offers.

If your browser has any pop-up blockers such as Adblock Plus, Disconnect or another pop-up blocker, be sure you temporarily disable them while you’re on the GPT sites. If you don’t disable them and complete an activity, you may not get your points or cash for that activity due to the pop-up blocker or blockers interfering.

Crowdflower tasks sometimes require knowledge and can be difficult, but the biggest thing to really be aware of is you’re sometimes graded on the tasks you perform, and if you receive a failing grade, you won’t get the promised points or cash. Honestly, I don’t think the grading is fair, so I usually avoid the tasks activities on these sites.

Think Sensibly When Using GPT Sites

While most GPT sites offer a variety of earning activities, we have to use common sense to determine which of those activities are worth our time and will be the most beneficial to us. Based on my own experience with GPT sites, I find the surveys to be the biggest time waster. With most of the sites, after answering a few questions, you’re told you don’t qualify to take that survey, so you try again, and you end up getting the same message over and over. It’s just frustrating, to say the least.

Create one or two email accounts using Gmail, so your personal and/or business email accounts aren’t filled with spam. I have two Gmail accounts: one for just spam (use when signing up for those offers) and one for only my reward and cashback memberships.

Get a Google Voice number for the offers that require a phone number when signing up. Unfortunately, many of those sign-up offers ask for and require you to enter a valid phone number, so they can bombard you with those annoying telemarketing calls or phone surveys. I use to enter 000-000-0000 in the phone number field, but lately it seems most forms no longer accept that, but they do recognize the Google Voice number as a valid number. 😉

If you’d rather spend less time on the GPT sites, you could go for the big points. The sign-up offers that usually give the big points are free trial offers, but they require a credit card, and I’m sure you don’t like giving that information out to just anyone. Plus, if you forget to cancel after the trial ends, you could end up in serious debt with all the charges to your card. If you do decide to sign up for some of the trial offers, the best alternative is a prepaid card with just a little money (the minimum) on it. Choose a prepaid card with no monthly or annual fees. Also, to help you remember when to cancel, you can use a free reminder service. I use Memo to Me, but there are a number of others out there that you might like better.

Another activity that offers big points or cashback is shopping, but we join these sites to make a little extra money, so the last thing we want to do is spend more money than we’re making, right?

Score More Free Money While Spending What You Already Have

Remember at the beginning of this article when I said you could earn even more by simply spending the free money you get from GPT sites? Well, the best way to earn a little more free money is from sites that offer cashback. You can do this through the GPT sites too, but when it comes to getting cashback for my purchases, I use and recommend eBates. Cashback sites such as eBates also list special offers and coupons from each merchant to help you save money. If you join eBates from my link above, you’ll get $10 FREE, after your first cashback shopping trip.

Once you’re done shopping, you can use your cashback earnings for more gifts, and when you buy those gifts from a merchant at eBates or another cashback site, once again you’ll earn cash back, which you can use for even more gifts, if the total cashback you earned is enough. The minimum to earn for payout from eBates is $5.01, and they send payment every three months. Their payment options are a check by mail or Paypal. So far I’ve earned over $30 cashback from eBates, and most of that was during my Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas shopping adventures.

Spend Your Free Money From GPT Sites Wisely

  • Christmas gifts. Christmas shouldn’t be stressful, but many families struggle to buy Christmas gifts each year. With this free money, the struggle could be over.
  • Products to giveaway. Build your Facebook friends, website or blog traffic, or Twitter followers by having giveaway contests. With this amount of free money, your giveaway products(s) could be awesome!
  • Gifts for other occasions. Is someone you care about having a birthday, getting married or having a baby? These are just a few occasions where a gift might be required.
  • Personal shopping spree. Everyone deserves to treat themselves to something nice every now and then, right? 😉
  • Gifts for your valued clients or customers. If you have clients or customers that you value because of their frequent business, show them your appreciation with a gift.
  • Put the money in a savings account. It’s always nice to have a little money saved up just in case of an emergency. That being said, start a savings account or add more money to the one you already have.
  • Pay off some debts. Relieve some stress by paying off a medical bill, loan or other debt.
  • Invest the free money. If you invest or have ever considered it, use some or all of what you earned through the GPT sites. Since it was basically free money, if you lose it, it won’t hurt near as bad.

Happy earning and shopping!

Finding the Best Online Sales

Finding the Best Online SalesIn a previous article, I told you how to use comparison shopping sites to score the best online deals. Now that you found an online store through comparison shopping, your next step as a frugal shopper is to find the best online sales deal from the merchant you want to buy from.

The first thing you need to do is head to Dealspotr and login to your account there. If you’re not familiar with Dealspotr and don’t have an account, you can read all about them in a previous article I wrote: See How Easily You Can Save Money & Get Free Amazon Gift Cards Just for Sharing Deals. Go ahead and click the link to read that article before you continue on reading this one. Don’t worry, the link will open in a new tab/window so that you don’t lose your place here. 😉

Searching for the Best Online Sales at Dealspotr

Okay, now that you’ve read my article on Dealspotr and hopefully joined, let’s continue on with how to use Dealspotr to find the best online sales from the merchant you want to buy from. First, make sure you have Dealspotr open in a new tab/window and that you’re logged in to your account there. Done? Good. :) Now, grab your notebook to jot down some more notes.

Enter the name of the merchant you’re looking for in Dealspotr’s search box. After you enter the merchant’s name, a menu should drop down, and if that store is on Dealspotr, its name will appear in the drop down menu under stores. If the merchant is listed on Dealspotr, click on the store’s name or logo (whichever appears) to view its current deals.

Finding the Best Online Sales at Dealspotr

In your notebook, write down the information for the best deals from that merchant. The information you’ll need to write down is the promo code and discount information (e.g. 25%, free shipping, etc.). Be sure to check that the deal hasn’t expired. If a deal is still there and it has expired, it will say expired.

Boost Your Savings With Cashback Shopping

Now that you have a list of the best online sales deals, you can boost your savings by joining cashback shopping sites. It’s free to join the sites, and as a member, you’ll earn a percentage of your total purchase from online merchants back.

To ensure you get the most savings, be sure you check out all the cashback shopping sites you’re a member of. You’ll be looking for the cashback site that offers the most money back for the merchant you want to buy from. For instance, one site may offer 3.4% cashback when you shop with Walmart while the other site offers 6% cashback for shopping with Walmart from their site. Obviously, you’ll want to go with the cashback site that offers 6% back.

Since you have to use the link from the cashback site to get the cashback savings from the merchant you’re buying from, you may be wondering what the purpose of the note taking was for? It’s simple, you’ll use the coupon code for the deal you discovered at Dealspotr to save even more. Make sure you use the coupon code for the deal that offers you the biggest savings. 😉

Before you make your purchase, browse the cashback site you’re making the purchase from to see if they list a better offer than you already have. If they do, you’ll want to take advantage of their offer instead. If that’s the case, most of the time you’ll just click the link they’ve provided to get that bigger discount. What Frugal Shoppers Ought to Know About Shopping Online

Reel in a Deal - Advice for Frugal ShoppersThe majority of my frugal shopping adventures take place online. I love not having to fight crowds and wait in a long line to pay for my merchandise. But do you know what I love most about shopping via the internet? The deals! Yes, folks, there really are many great sales in the cyber marketplace for the frugal shopper! In fact, many times I’ve discovered that I save more money shopping online than I do shopping at brick and mortar stores in Southern Illinois.

Back when the internet was still new, shipping prices were inflated so much that most of the time it was still cheaper to shop offline. Nowadays, though, shipping and return policies are more consumer friendly, and when I factor in the high price of gas to drive into town, I discover I usually get better bargains shopping online.

Shopping online for deals will take time to get the best bargains, but the time that you’ll spend researching to find the best online deals will be worth it.

How a Frugal Shopper Scores the Best Online Deals

When shopping online for the best deals, you’ll want to compare prices. Thankfully, you don’t have to spend hours comparing prices yourself, because price comparison sites have done it for you. However, it will take a little time to examine the price comparison websites to find the merchandise you’re looking for at the lowest price. Once you get use to the sites’ layouts, though, it won’t take as long next time you decide to go on a shopping spree.

Some of my favorite sites for comparing prices are Google Shopping, Price Grabber, Epinions and Yahoo Shopping.

As I get ready to compare prices, I ensure I have a notebook and pen handy to write down the name of the merchandise I plan to buy. Next, I explore each of the sites, and when I come across the product I’m interested in, I see which merchant sells that item for the lowest price. Finally, I write down the name of the merchant with the lowest price. I also write down the price that online store sells the product for, because later I’ll search for current deals from that merchant.

Confused? Here’s an example, which I hope makes it easier for you to understand… Let’s say I’m looking to buy a Nintendo Wii U 32 GB Deluxe Game Console. First, I head to Google Shopping and type “Nintendo Wii U” (with quotes) into the search box at the top of their page. After clicking to search, I see what I’m looking for, so I click the “compare prices” button. Now I scroll to the bottom of the store listings and see there are 40 stores with this product, so I click “view all 40 online stores.”

Upon viewing all the stores, I see (at the time of this writing) Walmart has the cheapest price at $299.96 (with free shipping, if you have it shipped to your local Walmart).

Although Google Shopping shows that Walmart has the lowest price, I want to check with the other comparison sites to see if they list different online stores with an even lower price (including shipping). That being said, I open a new tab and head to Price Grabber. I do the same at Price Grabber as I did at Google Shopping. Walmart still has the lowest price (including shipping), so I’ll continue doing the same aforementioned steps with each comparison shopping site.

Once I finished looking at all four of my favorite comparison shopping sites, I discovered Walmart had the lowest price. So, being the frugal shopper that I am, here’s what I wrote in my notebook: “Nintendo Wii 32 GB Deluxe Game Console, Walmart, $299.96 with free shipping if I have it shipped to my local Walmart store.”

Get coupons by snail mail

There are tons of free printable coupons as well as digital coupons that we can load onto our savings cards, but what about those of us who want to enjoy additional savings or don’t have a printer to print coupons? Good news, you can request coupons by snail mail, and here are the websites I know of that offer snail mail coupons:

RedPlum: Sometimes you’ll find RedPlum inserts in your Sunday newspapers, but if you don’t buy the Sunday papers or you’d like additional RedPlum coupons, you can sign up for The Red Plum Mail package. Be sure you select “add to list.”

Bounce: When Bounce has coupons available by snail mail, you’ll find the link on their “promotions” page.

P&G Brand Sampler: You’ll have to register to get the free Home Made Simple coupon booklet via snail mail. Registration is free, and as a P&G Everyday Solutions member myself, I can honestly tell you that taking the time to register is well worth it. Their coupon booklets are usually filled with great savings!

Minute Maid Coupons by Snail Mail: Residents from the United States and Canada can enter their details in the form on the linked page to request money-saving coupons from Minute Maid.

Tide: When Tide has coupons available, you’ll find them on their “coupons” page.

Another Way to Obtain Coupons by Snail Mail

Google the manufacture’s name to see if they have a website, and if they do, contact them through their website asking if they could send you coupons by snail mail. Before asking for the coupons, state that you’ve tried and liked their product(s), or that you’d like to try their product(s). You can do this for restaurants as well.

I’ll add to this list when I discover new resources, so check back often, bookmark this page or follow me on Twitter for updates. Also, if you know of any other websites where frugal shoppers can sign up/register to get coupons by snail mail, let me know by leaving a comment, and I may even add it to this list giving you credit for the referral. :)

Tips From a Frugal Coupon Mom, Wife and Caregiver

Frugal Coupon Mom

With gas and grocery prices on the rise, several of us are struggling financially. So what do we do to ensure we don’t lose our homes and our family doesn’t starve? Many have turned to couponing, gardening, canning and other frugal ways to save money.

If I recall right, it was back in 1998 when I first started using coupons. At that time, I was a recently divorced mom escaping domestic violence, and I had three young children to care for. Gas and grocery prices weren’t nearly as high back then, but being a single mom, earning a little above minimum wage ($5.15 per hour) working as a CNA (certified nurse’s assistant) was not easy in those days either. Since things were just as hard in 98, I started couponing to save as much money as I possibly could.

During the beginning of my couponing days, I didn’t know near as much about using coupons as I do now. In fact, I rarely saved money and often wondered if clipping coupons was worth my time and effort. Given that I thought the coupons failed in saving me money, I felt my time was better spent focusing on caring for the kids and working, so I stopped clipping coupons. Only if I knew then what I know now.

Anyway, life continued, I re-married in June 2004, and with the Lord’s help, I managed just fine without the coupons. Then in 2008, my household size increased to seven (including myself). On top of that, the cost of gas and groceries started to go up, and with only two incomes and a house full of seven people, I made it a point to learn how to use coupons to get the most savings. In addition to couponing, I learned many other ways of living frugally, and throughout this website, I’ll be sharing all the information I’ve gained knowledge of and will continue to absorb. Let’s begin with a few couponing tips.

6 Couponing Tips From a Frugal Coupon Mom

1. Compare the price of the name brand product with the price of the store brand item. Sometimes you’ll discover that even after the discount the coupon offers, the store brand will still cost less. I’ll discuss this in more detail within a future article.

2. The buy X and get Y for however much off won’t really save you much money unless you plan to buy X and Y anyway.

3. Only buy what you need. Don’t buy extra just because there’s a good coupon for the product or it’s on sale.

4. Gather all the sales papers from your local stores to see what’s on sale. Make a list of the sale items you might use, and then see if there are coupons for those items. Browse through your coupon binder as well as the printable coupon databases online. Then create your grocery list based on the information you gather. Also, buy the product from the merchant who offers the cheapest price for the same product, and refer back to my first tip as you prepare for your shopping trip. To do this, it’s best to have a pricelist of the store brand products you use the most from each of your favorite stores.

5. Enjoy greater savings by using a manufacturer coupon in combination with the store’s coupon on a sale item.

6. Ask your favorite stores when their double coupon days are, make note of them on your calendar, and then shop on those days.

While these are only a few tips from a frugal coupon mom (me), I hope the advice I shared will help you understand how couponing really can save you money. I only wish I knew all this back in 1998, but there were less mouths to feed than now, so at least I’m armed with this knowledge when I need it the most. 😉

If you know of any other couponing tips, comment and share what you know to help others who are trying to save as much money as they can. Pay it forward, and I’m sure you’ll be blessed for sharing your expertise.
